Adding Local Components to an Automation

Local components are stored in the Local tab of individual automations. Follow these steps to add a Local Component to an automation:

  1. In Solution Explorer, right-click the automation and select Open.

  2. From the Studio Toolbox, drag the reusable component (Boolean variable) onto the automation. All components, with the exception of the Counter and xmlDocumentComponent, are by default added to the Local tab.

    Note:
Local components belong to individual automations and appear in the Object Explorer hierarchy directly below the automation to which they belong. They cannot be used from anywhere other than the automation in which they are created.

  3. Save the automation.
